So we are slackers. We haven't written since Christmas, I know. School started again and things have gotten really crazy around here. Mae has been vomiting for the last four days, but is finally beginning to get better. She was sick for her first birthday party. What a bummer. I'm going to keep this post short, so I can play with Mae now that she is feeling better. I just wanted to say hello and post links to a couple of great articles that I have come across. I've been reading and hearing all sorts of commentary in the media comparing President Bush to President Hoover, and President Obama to FDR. Implicit in this comparison is a belief that both President Bush and Hoover were ardent supporters of laissez-fair capitalism, and that these are the policies that have lead to the current economic issues and the great depression. The fact of the matter is, that both of these presidents had very heavy handed ecomonic policies, which is where the root of both crises lies.
